Yawa The Adventurer Vol. 1 - Kickstarter

I am currently illustrating for a super fun new comic series written by Bernard Mensah. ““Yawa The Adventurer” is an all-ages action-adventure story with an African twist; blending fact, fiction, history, culture, and modern living from a variety of African countries.” This is the first full comic I have illustrated! I have had so much fun designing the characters and researching Ghana. The beautiful colours are the handiwork of my friend and fellow artist, Jazmin Guzman. The Most Important Comic Book on Earth - Stories to Save the World

This is a wonderful project spearheaded by Paul Goodenough. Inspired to do something to help the growing climate catastrophe, he set out to create a collection of comics written and drawn by over 300 contributors, including Jane Goodall, Alan Moore, Richard Curtis, Andy Serkis, Hannah Hillam and Doug Braithwaite … and me! I drew and coloured a 3 page comic written by Sarah Florence Lord about Doreen De Brum and her fight to save her home, The Marshal Islands, from rising sea levels. I am overjoyed to be involved in this project, which you can learn more about here. The book is available for purchase, and all funds go to climate saving causes!!

Youth 4 Cure

In 2020, fellow illustrator Eric (Yi-hao) Lee invited me and our friend Jazmin Guzman to join him on a project with UCSF in which we were tasked to draw four comic pages that explain new HIV cures. They had to be appealing and easy to follow, while remaining sensitive and scientific. We developed the plots and characters ourselves, based on real science, and met regularly with the study team to make sure we were on the right tracks. After building the story and layout as a team, Eric would pencil, I would ink and letter, and Jazmin would colour. To see the pages and learn more, click here

What’s Happening to me Now?

“What’s Happening to me Now?” is a book about the Perimenopause written by fellow artist, Heather Wright. The book tackles a sensitive subject in a fun-but-factual way. Heather approached me to illustrate her book in June, 2019. I set to work to produce 23 humorous illustrations of diverse women, and had a lot of fun coming up with visual gags that would compliment the writing.

The book is available to purchase on Amazon!

The Unseen Jack Katz

“The Unseen Jack Katz” is a collection of previously unseen and unpublished work from legendary artist, Jack Katz. I was lucky enough to be included in a line up of incredible artists (including Liam Sharp, Art Adams, Bill Sienkiewicz and Sandra Hope) who produced inked versions of Katz’s pencils.
